Retribution Falls is a fast-paced steampunk adventure, led by a charming rogue and a ship full of misfits. Framed for murder, the captain and crew must figure out who framed them while avoiding the authorities.
This is a swashbuckling, breezy read, good for zoning out if you’re on a plane or hanging out on a beach. But it left me wanting a little more depth in its story and more meaningful interactions between its characters.
Recommendation: Read it. It’s good but not great. I’m also not a huge fan of steampunk in general, so if you are, you’ll probably like this book more than I did. If steampunk isn’t your thing, you might want to pass on this.
